The other winners of the major categories included Vinland Saga, which won for best Drama, and The Promised Neverland which took home the award for Best Fantasy.
Kaguya-Sama, a romantic comedy about two students at an elite school, took home the prizes for Best Ending Sequence, Best Couple, and Best Comedy. Three wins tied Demon Slayers’ with Kaguya-Sama: Love is War for the most awards of the night. Meanwhile, Mob Psycho 100 season 2 got Best Animation and, to no one’s surprise, Netflix’s music anime Carole and Tuesday received the award for Best Score.
Demon Slayer likely the year’s most popular anime, also took home the prizes for Best Fight Scene and Best Boy. The event’s most prestigious award, Anime of the Year, went to Demon Slayer. The awards were held live in San Francisco on Saturday night, and hosted by WWE Superstar Xavier Woods, as well as Crunchyroll host Tim Lyu.
